After living in South Korea as an English teacher for four years until February 2020, Ava has combined her passions for writing and travel through her blog and Instagram, Avagail Adventures. As a Filipina-American, she is an advocate for diversity in the travel sphere with a mission to amplify BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) voices by sharing their travel tales and experiences. Her favorite part of traveling is immersing herself in and learning about new cultures. She has a fondness for elephants, can’t start her day without a cup of coffee, believes there is always room for dessert, and hopes to one day inspire youth of color (especially Filipinx-Americans) to explore the world through travel.
